Our Services

BASIX Certification

Building Sustainability Index (BASIX) ratings are applicable to all residential dwelling types, and are required to be submitted during the development application stage.

BASIX covers water, thermal comfort performance and energy consumption that apply to the following dwelling types:

  • New residential dwellings

  • Alterations and additions when over $50,000 in costs

  • Swimming pools over 40,000 Litres

NatHERS Assessments

The Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme (NatHERS) measures a home’s energy efficiency to generate a star rating. It is often required when thermal comfort performance cannot be assessed by the DIY method in the BASIX assessment tool.

We are accredited to conduct NatHERS assessments to enable optimum NatHERS star ratings depending on the design features of the dwellings in question.

Section J reports highlight the energy efficiency requirements for a Class 3, 5, 7, 8 and 9 building (commercial), as defined by Volume One of the National Construction Code (NCC).

We can assist you with preparing Section J reports for your development using the Deemed to Satisfy (DTS) Provisions of Part J of the Energy Efficiency section of NCC Volume one.
